Greta Penney, Owner and Principal Designer at 9& Studio, has extensive experience in graphic design, creative strategy, and branding.

Her career includes professional stints in Hong Kong and Spain, bringing a global perspective to her practice. While in Hong Kong, she designed one of the first social media portals, and her team’s tradeshow booth earned third place at the Hong Kong Computer Expo.

Greta’s creative work has been featured by Creative Bloq, Fact Magazine, Yahoo!, Tumblr, Family Circle, and the Pantone Canvas Gallery. Her type designs have been highlighted on Typography Served, she received a web award from The Best Web Designs, and her mug designs were featured in HGTV Magazine.

She has collaborated with notable clients including Sony Music and the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation, delivering custom design solutions. Her designs have also been purchased by Adobe, Squarespace, Design Within Reach, and the Pace Gallery.

Beyond her studio practice, Greta has years of experience as a design educator and curriculum developer. She has also written extensively on art and design for publications such as Creative Market, Envato, and New York Arts Magazine.
